Trump has NEVER been able to understand being in charge of something, be it a company or a charity does NOT give him the ABSOLUTE power to use it for his exclusive personal benefit. He doesn’t really try to hide the corruption or self dealing, because he has no real conception that it is wrong or illegal. So there was never any reason to think that he would treat the office of the presidency any different.

On a corporate level, that kind of self-dealing gets a wink and a nod more often than not, so Trump obviously grew up thinking that was how everything should work. Well, that and because he’s a narcissistic sociopath who doesn’t think much about these kinds of things.

True to a degree. I think there’s a bit of a feedback loop happening tho. Trump’s presidency is emboldening people who were afraid to express their prejudice in previous times. And I fear for young people being raised in those homes.
My point of posting the Hakeem Jeffries quote wasn’t so much that part than that he seemed to be indicating Giuliani had already been fired. And I hadn’t actually seen that Trump had dismissed him. Closest thing was an article that other Trump staff were not happy with him.
