"Fun? Ah, yes, the employment of time in a profitless and non-practical way."
You are Kryten 2X4B 523P, and I claim my £5!
It’s still shown by PBS, though.
Indeed, generally, the content on BoingBoing IS of very high quality,
particularly from Cory and Xeni, although the increasing amount of
advertising (posts by ‘BoingBoing Store’, etc., or thinly-disguised
testimonials for household gadgets, etc.) is dismaying.
But yes, I guess when you get down to it, I did bother to sign up just to
leave that one comment.
No intention of getting into a brawl; I’d just like to see the site keep
its high standards if possible.
Are comments not where people leave such sorts of feedback?

Would you say that you’re disappointed?
Any kid whose family doesn’t have a premium cable subscription still depends on their local PBS station if they want to watch the show. That’s where Federal funding comes in.
Isn’t it obvious? You put the rabbits in the eggrolls. Delicious!
VAN HALEN 4 EVA!
<vanhalen!>
“I find this subject unworthy of our attention” isn’t exactly valuable feedback in any context. If a story doesn’t interest you then just ignore it.
Nobody knew that Easter Egg Rolls were so complicated. Nobody!
I took this piece to be Boing Boing wanting to inform us about the extent to which this administration is incompetent. It’s meant to be representative of other things that WILL go wrong in the future, so more about pattern-gathering than actual criticism of failing to observe and value a traditional celebration (which doesn’t actually make any profound and lasting impact on anyone’s life). As others are commenting, the annual Turkey Pardon and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be screwed up, if this trend continues.
Which one?
(There have been three thus far. Is he a time lord?)
Competence might lead to expertise, and we know all experts only owe allegiance to each other, in their elite expert communities. So, see, it’s GOOD that he’s incompetent!
Oh please please–I want to see that idiot try to swing an axe.

It’s gonna be a Great Cultural Revolution. The Best. Nobody does Cultural Revolutoin’s better than I do. You think Obama could destroy the Four Olds. Sad.
They gave us the perfect example of something that sounds dumb/crazy if you don’t know the details, but which makes total sense and is actually rather clever once you do.
Remember when we were all scared of a “President McCain” dying in office?

I don’t know… he might mistake the Easter candies for Dippin’ Dots and become enraged…
About ten years ago I worked for a man who had grown up in DC, he talked about being able to see and talk to President Eisenhower when he (Ike) happened to be out strolling on the White House grounds.
As late as the Woodrow Wilson administration it used to be tradition for presidents to hold a yearly public reception at the White House so that anybody (well, probably white anybodies in all honesty) could show up, have a free drink, and shake the president’s hand.
