The fact that Carlson hasn’t apologized or distanced himself from these comments is an unspoken confirmation that he still thinks this way. That they’re ten years old is meaningless.
So Carlson thinks that Iraqis are “semi-literate primitive monkeys” and he has “no respect for their culture”, how can he explain that position except as part of some all-out war of his culture (however he defines it) versus everyone else on Earth? How does that position make the world a better place? I don’t doubt that he feels the same way about any culture besides one that originates in Europe, and he probably discounts some parts of Europe too.
While I think his commentary can at times be insightful, his Islamophobic, antivaccine, Libertarian-light outlook is endlessly irritating. Not any skin off my nose if he bites the dust.
Yeah, I’ve long since filed Maher in the category of “asshole who I occasionally agree with” rather than “principled leader of the progressive movement.” If that’s the best they can do finding the left-wing version of Carlson then I’m fine with dumping them both.

Believe it or not, when you compare the actual text and tone of the articles, they are far more Screaming Conservative Shitbirds than Breitbart. Just the the design of the website has more of a veneer of credibility.

Doesn’t matter what the affidavits say if the person who supposedly provided them doesn’t exist.
And I mean that seriously the lawyers who filed those hadn’t physically met the witness or accuser and couldn’t confirm their existence.
The accuser cited a current address in a filing seeking relief after the 2nd dismissal that turned out to have been a foreclosure that had been vacant for months.
