Tucker Carlson says kids in masks is "child abuse" and if spotted, "call police immediately"

Well, true, but if it were common I’d expect R0 values to be way higher, or huge consistent clusters near beaches and parks.

Point taken.

Generally speaking, since this is a message board and entirely textbased (mostly), it helps to have an indicator for snarky, sarcastic type comments… like a /s… We can’t see your face or hear your voice to know if you’re making a joke, so it helps for clarity.

I did go back and add a statement at the bottom of the post.

Seriously. I’m pissed too. My poor 5-year-old has been completely mask-compliant throughout this year. She has often been the only masked kid at the playground (when the playgrounds opened), and she has handled it better than 50% of American grownups, apparently.

If anyone even as much as raises their voice about her mask in her presence, I will go full “mama bear” on them.

Wait, who was leading the non-human animals during that period?

You how that there are other countries, with more efficient contact tracing, right?

What kind of contact tracing will pick up on infection during a brief chance encounter outside? Short of total surveillance, it’d probably be chalked up to someplace else during the day or two that they could have caught it, unless that walk was literally the only thing they did during that period.

All I object to is using the term “there is no evidence to suggest” when it’s not something that they’re even measuring. Saying “inferring from other data, and according to our models, it’s a really really remote chance” doesn’t trip off the tongue as easily, I admit.

Absolutely, 100% agreed.

As for minding our own business… if only.
