Sure, seems interesting. I just reserved it at my local library, thanks
I second that recommendation.
Although I’ve also loved everything by Becky Chambers so far.
The audiobook is great!
You and me both. I tend to read the audio versions. Her books are a balm for the heart
This. So much this.
I know there’s no way it will ever happen, but I think a “rewrite” of the 2A is desperately in order to make it crystal clear what precisely its protecting (and optionally why).
Honestly it could be scrapped entirely. Whatever the reasoning was, the rest of the world gets along just fine without any equivalent. Arms manufacturers would lose money, a few collectors would have to find a new hobby, and everyone else would be endlessly better off.
In fact, another recommendation for that, but honestly if you ever need to just feel good about a lot of things and feel cozy/comfortable/with found family… Becky Chambers books are all very sweet and comforting.
… and it’s available through Overdrive, one of the eBook platforms through my library. It’s now been added to my TBR list. Thank you!
Just a heads up
Oh yes, we know. Right now, it’s Overdrive, in a few short weeks, it’ll be Libby. I’m in the IT department and my nesting partner is head of collection management. We’re quite up on library news! Thanks for the heads up, though.
