Tucker Carlson's head writer fired after online harassment and bigotry exposed

And yet, by pointing out that these hateful men are obviously less than the ‘ideal specimens of humanity which are superior all others’ that White supremacy claims they are, you’re somehow “body shaming” them.

You’re right. That is the bigger problem. I think we’re on the same side. I wish people would focus on the rhetoric and not waste their time on how white supremacists look. I have no intention of protecting this guy’s feelings. My goal–and it looks like I’m not doing a good job of making it obvious–is trying to get the people on my side to focus on what matters.

A lot of people, actually.

Maybe not completely, but what do you think is the prevailing standard of beauty?

We’ve got obese people on both sides.

It’s more like he couldn’t get a date because he was a white supremacist.

And a misogynist, and a pretentious asshole, and a man baby who blamed his lack of success on his looks and not his complete lack of charm and likability.

I mean if they are so sensitive that simply pointing out that two high profile white dudes look older than they actually are is some sort of affront to their awesomeness, I just don’t know where to go with that.

No, he’s the most physically fit specimen ever according to him and his “doctors”. I don’t think many would particularly care about his physical appearance if he didn’t continually go out of his way to try to gaslight us into thinking he’s some sort of beer goggle Adonis.

Nobody is owed a date.

Maybe the white supremacist can, you know, GO FIRST… Their entire world view is based on HOW PEOPLE LOOK. That’s it. It’s their ENTIRE FUCKING THING.

The white supremacists are the bad guys, the enemy, the fucking pro-genocide guys… Maybe we can stop worrying about their feelings a bit and focus on making sure they are not the people writing public policy, at the very fucking least?

[ETA: grammar]

Possibly… but I’ve found that a lot of people who like to think that they are allies in this fight don’t ‘show and prove’ that through their continuous words and actions.

Many are only supportive of progress if doesn’t affect their personal comfort and doesn’t ask any sacrifice of them.

That said, tone policing one’s alleged allies is the first red flag in my book; no one gets to dictate the rhetoric used to fight back against oppression and fascism, especially by those who are most at risk.

The opposition has shown repeatedly that they have no compunctions whatsoever about fighting dirty and ‘going as low’ as possible, so it’s unrealistic to expect me to “take the high road.”

I’d bet their idea of an ideal specimen is a white person (preferably male), nothing more.

By derisively pointing out physical features they have in common, you are implying that anybody with those features is similarly unattractive. If there was a high degree of correlation between, say, male pattern baldness and white supremacy (or even white people in general), then you might have more of a leg to stand on. But but since all these attributes tend to cut across all segments of society, it seems pretty juvenile to try to legitimize these arguments in the name of bashing white supremacists.

Save your outrage for the “Azn megashrew”

Most people who make fun of the President’s weight aren’t mocking him for being obese. They’re mocking him for being a shallow, vain, body-shaming bigot who claims to be the most physically fit President in history despite being an obviously obese man who can barely accomplish basic physical tasks.

That’s your personal choice to believe that; do you.

A bit of useful advice:

If what I post offends you so, feel free to put me on ignore permanently and you’ll never have to see it again. Because quite frankly, I’m not in violation of any rules, and I am NOT going to adjust how I post because you personally don’t care for it.

Thanks and have a good day.

Nobody’s implying anything here?

It’s the white supremacists putting themselves out as the ultimate examples of humanity but are quick to have their precious feelers hurt when someone points out that maybe the aren’t as special as they think they are.

This guy walked into a blind date and almost immediately informed the blonde he was set up with that he preferred brunettes.

But sure, pointing out that his greasy, receding hairline isn’t the apex of physical attractiveness is totally out of bounds.

No, indeed I am not.

I’m criticizing the obvious and flagrant hypocrisy of White supremacists who are often anything but “supreme” to the people they hate.

That someone always seems to take that criticism as a personal attack on their appearance seems to be some kind of psychological projection, and frankly that’s their problem, not mine.

Unless someone is a White supremacist or one of their sympathizers/enablers, I wasn’t talking about them.

It was just a guess, and probably no better or worse than anybody else’s guess regarding what those particular white supremacists in question actually think.

Thanks for the advice. Your post doesn’t offend me (and even if it did, I wouldn’t ignore you), I don’t think you’re in violation of any rules, and I don’t expect you to adjust how you post.

Thanks, you as well!

That’s exactly why watching Ann Coulter speak is like watching some kind of gigantic cursed weasel fetus even though she theoretically possesses all the physical traits of a conventionally attractive human being.

You have a soul that ugly, some of it is going to spill out no matter what kind of package it comes in.

This comment made me further reflect on my earlier post and I looked it up. Sarah Sanders is 37… 37! Sean Spicer is only 48! They say that being the president ages you by 10 years, but in the Trump administration, being the press secretary must age you 20. I shudder to think what Kayleigh McEnany at 32 will look like once she’s shown the door.

I concur; there’s no ‘Dorian Gray’ portraits in this reality to carry the weight of all that emotional ugliness and hatred.

In fact, the ancient Egyptians once believed that negative thoughts and deeds weighed down one’s heart, which is why ‘judgement day’ in the afterlife for them meant weighing their hearts against an ostrich feather.

Just imagine the immense weight of Coulter or Carlson’s hearts by that standard, let alone someone like 45’s.
