Twitter bans posts that ‘dehumanize’ people
So they banned tRump then? Won’t hold my breath Dorsey, you f’ing weasel.
“We couldn’t have predicted that this would happen in terms of the coronavirus,” Jerrel Peterson, Twitter’s head of trust and safety policy, told Reuters.
Then you are idiots!
No, dehumanizing people for political gain is still permitted.
While a noble sentiment, past precedent has left me with functionally zero confidence that Twitter will successfully implement it without being gamed by genocidal bigots into shutting down actual coronavirus news while leaving the bigotry unprunned.
Are Republicans a protected group? Because while people don’t get to make choices about being diseased or disabled, they sure as hell choose to be greedy, selfish, xenophobic, homophobic, racist, and/or misogynistic; none of which are admirable human traits.
Past precedents have left me with functionally zero confidence in Twitter.
They won’t (and it’s hard to fault him for that), but it would be awesome if it blocked him from certain shit posting.
“Your tweet can not be posted because it violates our terms of use and community guidelines…”
The Republicans are good at nurturing a sense of being oppressed. Questioning their bad judgement? why that’s as bad as racism!
“You proving that what I said is a lie is the WORST KIND OF DISCRIMINATION. The kind against ME.”
I like to think that the correct response is “No. You’ve chosen to believe those things. You can always choose not to believe them.”
Honestly that’s also my position. It’s perfectly acceptable to discriminate and judge on choices. It’s not okay to judge on what people don’t have a choice in. I mean, that’s common sense, right?
Unless, of course, the President does it. In which case, it’s not a problem.
Does anyone want to test this on transphobes who claim that transgender is a mental illness?
But only for people in power or with wealth.
Twitter has a two tiered EULA / TOS.
edit:
“like”
Oof
It’s not a problem, in his case it’s pathology.
[Hate group] should be punished. We are not doing enough to rid ourselves of these inhuman scum.
Your move, Twitter. Not that I use or even look at Twitter.
I was going to post about wanting to go on a bat cruise to get away from it all.
Like religion?
