National holiday wouldn’t matter in my job; I’d have to be there no matter what, as someone relies on me (support worker). It’s more the utter fucking uselessness of the new place’s HR dept. Their local office described them as ‘incompetent’, and that they’d like me to start, like, yesterday. The one person who can fix it has, apparently, gone on holiday as of last Friday. I’d probably have voted Communist or TUSC anyway. I can’t deal with the cognitive dissonance required to vote Labour these days…
*Rubs hands together gleefully
This is going to be such a monumental clusterfuck.
It’s polling day, but unfortunately (for me) not a lot will be decided today. Six week is too long for me, especially with shits like Falange who make Cameron look not so bad. I’m not looking forward to the deals that have to be made over the next week or so.
My prediction: The working classes will lose.
So, we’ll all be back here to laugh at Nick Clegg and Danny Alexander in a few hours, yeah?
I sincerely hope so, but from what I’ve been hearing, Sheffield Hallham will be very close, because local Tories are voting tactically to try and keep their man in the game.
Of course they are.
Clegg is worth 20-30(?) MPs to the Conservatives. They’d have to be stupid not to vote for him.
Alexander is toast, though.
No chance is that right.
Either the exit poll is crazy, or the entire trend of previous opinion polls is wrong. The Tories actually up in seats? that’s a 5-6% difference right there.
I’m hoping the nutters voting UKIP in some of the marginals fuck them over. That and people disgusted with Blair in the Lib DemLabour Marginals prove to be more disgusted with Clegg. It’s not like it’s fucking hard to do…
I feel sick
Democracy: like being forced to choose between living with your violent, abusive father, and your creepy uncle. Fuck this shit, I’m going to bed.
Good for a much needed laugh - How much money have the LibDems lost tonight?
Lots of reports saying that Falange has lost Thanet South. I hope its true, I will enjoy his promised resignation speech. He didn’t look happy when I just saw him on the news.
I am now on a suicide watch. Can’t sleep. Can’t be left alone.
You could escape to Alberta Canada which seems to have broken out in a bizzaro shift to the left.
First gain of the night: Kilmarnock and Loudoun - SNP gain from Labour.
@TobinL I doubt Canada (or anywhere else) would be happy to let someone who is unable to work and on disability benefits move there.
Well crap, thats sucky. Of late I haven’t been sure where it is worse 'murrica or the UK.
Labour have 50% of the vote here (Oxford East), but the Green party kept their deposit and became the third placed party ahead ot LibDem and Ukip.
