Sheās as evil but nowhere near as personally effective. Basically because most people meeting Truss think sheās mad and an idiot. Thatcher was good enough at her act that most people didnāt even notice that she was drunk.
Maybe Iām unfair. Perhaps thereās just more attention on people now and having a cabinet of drunkards, paedophiles, and rapists would just tend to attract more criticism now than it did when Thatcher had one in the 80s.

Yep. The petri dish has other candidates who are more competent at delivering evil, but I suspect we are not able to identify them yet as the mask hasnāt slipped far enough. Braverman, for example, is too obvious, Badenoch is none too subtle either. And, of course, it neednāt be a woman.

And interesting headline writing - the obvious two things the group have in common is pro-Gaza and being to the Left of the Parlimentary Labour Party. Iām not expressing a preference for either, but itād be equally valid to call it a socialist Commons group.
The body of the article doesnāt mention that theyāre as numerous as Farageās current party. Be worth paying attention to see if this splinter group gets as much media time as Reform.

Yeah, the crucial difference between the current crop of Tory leaders (ha!) and Thatcher is that she was not a moron. She was evil, and she was capable, which made her ten times worse.
