In more news of governments being shittyâŚ
Tory sleaze is alive and well. Nothing to see here.
Look at this KPI here, says the cliff underneath us is crumbling at a much slower rate than predicted!
So, having a huge majority and being in power for ages they do what politicians do: cash in. But the Tories have a nice wrinkle to the age old graft: abolish the standards committee so that nobody can call them on it. Didnât Jonson fall foilnof that when he used donors money to do up his flat?
If you had a constitution by the way you could apply for judicial review which would likely find the lack of an appeal rendered the decisions invalid/the order creating it ultra vires.
No he weaselled out of it, with a little help from his buddies.
If only the opposition had access to a shit-hot lawyer, someone near the top must know one /S
Or, in this case, set up a new one stuffed full of Tory MPs and finally answering the age old question of who watches the watchers? Well, the watchers watch the watchers, guvnor. Besides, who amongst us can honestly say they havenât changed the rules to something they donât like for a more favourable outcome? /s
In a cloud of burning rubber
Not surprising, even the Daily Heil was calling them out on it and when a Tory government pisses them off you know your done goofed. Yet again they are pathologically incapable of doing the right thing until pressured and often not even then, see UC cuts.
in the Department for Levelling Up
This is ridiculous! I mean, I know about the endless sloganeering around âLevelling upâ⌠but this is ludicrous.
They actually named a government department after a party political election slogan? And one that is based on a childish sounding video game reference?
If you have a poisonous, backstabbing toad in your party plant him in a nonsense ministry.
Levelling Up seems to involve bribing voters in Tory âRed Wallâ constituencies.
Indeed. The remit of the department seems to be promising money to all underprivileged regions but only giving it out to those constituencies that voted Tory.
It is genuinely insane that there arenât daily mass protests about stuff like that. I cannot imagine politics so blatantly craven in similar European countries.
This wasnât the bus-related message that we were supposed to be getting.
Weâre literally trying to bring back ALL the conflicts of the 20th century AT ONE TIME arenât we?
