The pictures that came out show a deranged lynch mob from my perspective; one that doesn’t mind killing White women if just they happen to get in the way.
If that was supposed to be a ‘sales pitch’ to other White folks, I think they failed.

As for women, they didn’t want women, except as eye candy. Oh! And nobody overweight either. White, male, buff, and straight only. And probably christian, or at least not jewish, muslim, sikh, or buddist. Without shaggy hair or shorts or baggy t-shirts…
I heard the story behind that picture is the folks around the elderly man were trying to protect him from the demonstrators you see on the upper steps. So, I think an ad hoc flamethrower is definitely in order to make the rage crazy racists not kill an old man.

Not my point. The KKK and other White nationalist groups have long held the premise that they are defenders of White women.
Kinda hard to sell that when you’re “okay” with running one down in the streets.
Also consider that as participants of the Nazi march are being ‘outed,’ suddenly many of them are back-pedaling in the face of the backlash.
All in all, the optics are bad; this ‘rally’ was not a “success.”

Oh, I know the immense cognitive dissonance they are afflicted with; these are the same people who blame Black people for racism because it’s our fault their ancestors brought ours here as slaves, after all.
I’m saying that if someone was ‘on the fence’ about White nationalism, for some reason, then this clusterfuck was a failed effort to sway them.

Agreed, but some people live in oblivious denial, or they just don’t pay attention unless they are forced to.
As ugly as this so called rally was, I think the ramifications of it will be a reticence on the part of permit distributors; they are less likely to issue permits if there’s significant potential liability issues which will cost them more money after the fact.
