Yeah, there are sub-$100 projectors on Amazon that exceed that. This feels like someone is desperately trying to unload a stock of obsolete projectors. This model is over 2 years old, which is ancient for visual display technology, and was nowhere near top-of-the-line when it was introduced.
That said, cheap, low-res video projectors do have some good applications. I used mine for an R2D2 Princess Leia projection, which is supposed to look low-res anyway.
