It makes homophobia more socially acceptable. The US news media is nowhere near as left wing as a lot of people think it is, it’s centre is conservative liberalism. They will throw us under a bus the second it would win them viewers, and the Lindsay Graham stories are evidence of that.

I 100% understand the impulse, but where my thinking is right now is that sexuality should never be weaponized. That that should be a principle stood by, even if (especially when) it’s in your short-term disadvantage.
