That song is #7 in my iTunes play count ranking. Can’t believe it’s not higher than that, actually. Few songs get to me as thoroughly as that one does.

I get so mad when that song comes on and my expectations get dashed. Most sacrilegious appropriation of an iconic riff since Len’s Steal My Sunshine.

Even the younger adults (twenty- and thirty-somethings) claim most of the current offerings in popular music is absolute garbage. I agree.

By a strange coincidence, I was browsing in Bath’s HMV record store this afternoon, and I spotted the Warren Zevon Original Album set, five albums in a slip case, and grabbed it, as I only had his first album on vinyl, a white label copy, IIRC, and two downloaded tracks, Werewolves Of London, (of course), and Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, so I couldn’t resist having a comprehensive collection of his works.
Gonna enjoy working my way through those.
