OK, I rebuilt my Triumph in my dining room, but how are you gonna get that out of the basement? /s
I don’t know why you would say that, perhaps you didn’t read my comments?
If you didn’t bring your own trailer to Sturgis good luck renting one while you’re there. It’s a zoo for miles around.
It was hot when I was there, and people weren’t all on top of each other during the day. They got a lot more livelier at night. Not everyone goes into the bar, plenty of drinking to be had outside the bar.
Maybe folks will wear their masks. It’s hard to say what that crowd will do. They have their own way of doing things.
That’s just what the cynic in you sees. M.C. presence is still very strong at Sturgis. And those weekend warriors scatter like roaches whenever the big mean bikers walk by. haha!
A broke ass bike is the perfect bike. Because you’ll be well prepared to fix it when you do go. Bike mechanics are available in Sturgis, in an unofficial capacity. Best advice is to make friends early on in case you need some help later.

I bet those folks would attend a Trump rally in person. Somebody should tell him.
Nah, offices are all closed and they are probably working from home.
Well, there’s this:
Taking real action, and doing it sooner could have led to a 90% reduction in deaths and cases.
The graph in the onebox purports to show
Projected deaths in the United States through mid july
bad scenario: 60,000 deaths, (with a range of 35,000 to 120,000)
But what actually happened?
consulting the UVA dashboard
actual deaths to 15 July 2020: 139000
actual deaths to 8 Aug 2020: 163000
there’s trump death clock… [ currently 96,426 ]
just cause it’s worth saying, remember it’s not that trump is just against masks.
he gutted existing pandemic response programs. he rejected the who’s test, and the cdc with his top men built a broken one, refused to allow university built tests, and delayed our response by months. he lied and continues to about the seriousness of the virus. he pushed and continues to push a fake cure. his administration gave a big chunk of our ppe stockpile to china, probably to help his re-election bid and and failed to replace it. he still hasn’t used the defense authorization to speed up testing or ppe production. his administration forced states to compete with each other for ventilators and ppe - denying they were even needed - and then swept up equipment states bought, gave them to private companies to resell to republican states. he pushed to re-open the economy and schools well before they were ready leading to wide spread community infection. the conspiracy theories he backs have led the public to mistrust masks and mistrust vaccine development.
and that’s just off the top of my head.
it’s not that he’s been slow, or dumb, or ignorant. he’s actively worked against our response to the pandemic.
That, or a Vespa.
That would probably fly. I know a friend in Florida who’s a Harley-certified mechanic who restores old Vespas, as well as building hot rods and working in the drag-racing curcuit.
Such a waste - when they have become brain-dead from an accident without a helmet, their organs can’t be used for transplants because of COVID-19
I hope my friends and former co-workers up in the hills stay safe.
I had to make a prescription run today and biker and tourists are flowing all over like a swarm of plague rats.
The usual summer experience here of course, but now with actual plague rats!
I can imagine the casinos in Deadwood, packed to the brim, so many hands touching cards and holding chips. Death covered fingers pulling slots arms and sliding across touch screens.
A cough or two, waved away by “something in my throat”.
Sidewalks crowed should-to-shoulder, restaurants packed to capacity, campsites filled with bikers and tourists visiting and sipping beer.
The hills I love so much, being infested by these ignorant, pompous and brain dead swine.
I weep for my home…
less than 50%
Well, that’s just peachy then!
How is that acceptable to you?
It is amazing how RuPaul has changed my mental image on seeing the words, “Drag Race”.
Vespas is where it’s at…
Yep…
Less than $3 each. Really? Do they bring their own beer? Cheapskates.
