Okay. That is unexpected. I saw the video labelled “unexpected” and fully expected a seagull.

I mean aside from stealing people’s seaside dinners I’ve seen them wander into shops, shoplift what they want, and wander out.

They’re pretty big.

It is impossible to defame seagulls; and they have only got themselves to blame for that.

Thanks to the internet I have started worrying about whatever I’m eating outside in public.

I’m not joking. Last week I was eating an egg-and-cheese in Harvard Square and was watching the sky for seagulls.

Likely some kind of Kite, they’re known specifically for this food snatching behavior.

That happened to me in the Ngorongoro Crater. An African Kite grabbed my sandwich out of my hands.
