Donald J. Trump is the first US President to ever surrender to a group of terrorists. He is the first US President to ever turn over a country to a terrorist group. He negotiated the terms of a surrender, and they honored those terms.
He deserves a whole lot of credit for that. I think that more people need to know that Donald J. Trump surrendered to the Taliban.
Sadly, with the pandemic, I suspect that history will mostly remember him for being responsible for the worst genocide ever committed on US Citizens, for killing 700,000 Americans with his stupidity. Or, of course, perhaps for being the only US President ever to attempt a auto-coup. Or perhaps his involvement with the Kremlin will be revealed and he will be known as the first president compromised by a foreign power. Or he’ll finally be convicted of sex trafficing teenage girls under the guise of operating a modeling agency…

You are still underestimating him. Trump did it once before, to abandoning the Kurds in Syria, while claiming victory over a threat that was still there.
Look at who Turkey’s allies are in Syria, and what they have done.

I still cry when I think about the look on the faces of those soldiers being abandoned (by presidential & putin order) by the military they had fought alongside for so long. It still makes me sick to this day.
