If they are still wearing Trump hats, they’ve lost all capacity for rational thought - you won’t be able to change their minds.
OTOH, my husband was very stubbornly clinging to his belief that the Republican Party is salvageable - until this past week. He’s STUNNED that people still support Trump, he can’t figure out where or how they get their stupid ideas from … so I sent him this excellent video.
Note: I am an agnostic yellow dog Democrat married to what would now be called a RINO by the Rabid Right. My “RINO” served 30 years of active duty in the USMC - he’s no flower child by any stretch. He is having difficulty reconciling 3 decades of patriotic service with the shit show that is America right now. He’s exhausted by it all. So I’m very slow with my “drip drip” of information to him, because I worry about depression. Losing long held beliefs is hard, but he’s a very intelligent and no nonsense individual and he’s processing everything fairly well.

Heavy reliance on Chinese guest labor in the fashion industry. Traditions of etiquette that have to be set aside for this pandemic, and weren’t set aside early enough.

I am by no means playing down the deadly Covid-19 coronavirus. It is a killer.
The elites who run the businesses and the bureaucracies are worried about their status and will do anything to keep the markets flying high. Their wealth is based on a fantasy bubble that something like the coronavirus could pop. The elites were so fearful they pretended there was no problem until the problem was too big to hide. Now the public must suffer.
Sounds like they’re on the right side of this.
