I’m just baffled by the fact that this is a disputed event in the first place. Like, why would Kav say he didn’t watch her testimony if he had? What does that get him? Cool-guy points with the shitweasels who were already going to confirm him? What would the aide have gained for themselves or Kav by lying about Kav watching her testimony if he wasn’t? Wouldn’t “he’s not watching because he’s prepping his defense” be a perfectly reasonable thing to tell a reporter?
Like, seriously, what the heck? Even in an environment where the president lies about nonsensically trivial things as easily as he drinks Diet Coke, this is just a breathtakingly minor thing to fuck up for no freaking reason whatsoever. I just don’t get it.

Hopefully, those making such threats will be rooted out and prosecuted. Possibly she could sue those who revealed her identity.
