Didn’t know whether to expect a snakelike rat or a ratlike snake.
Got a regular snake that can climb walls. Cool.
I knew someone that had a few snakes and understood them. He wrote a couple of biology papers on snakes in university.
He had a rat snake that he called Ratso. He wouldn’t let visitors interact with it because the snake was a bad tempered beast. His Siamese cat and the snake would stare at each other through the aquarium glass for hours, obviously wishing they could kill each other.
Maybe the house has a rodent infestation and the snake is there to lend a hand (so to speak).
That is one confident (or clueless) bird.
I’m not saying this is rational, but I’d buy a new house.
I wanna know the background music. It’s so playfully snekky.
Rat snakes typically eat rodents but are also known to eat birds and their eggs. Their body shape and keeled scales help them to climb trees to get to nests. The chirper at the beginning may be a clue as to why that snake was looking to get to higher ground.
Really long rat snake went up the waterspout
Down came the rain and washed the rat snake out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
Really long rat snake went up the spout again
