This is brilliance. “Republic” (as an adjectival) just didn’t work for me. But gop, oh yeah, I’m there. And, of course, It should be spelled “gop”. Why have we, for decades, been giving Republicans those extra two syllables? Gop. Now and forever.

The modern Republican party does not believe in any form of republic, as shown by their desire to crown Trump as King of America (or lack of desire to oppose it).
