i know it’s mike lindell, but how unbelievably stupid to just take something handed to him. this is how people get poisoned, mike. he’s fortunate they were only court papers.

I thought that to be legally served, the process server had to state “You’ve been served b****”. And that formal court proceedings always started with “better lawyer up a*** ****”.

I mean, even as it was being constructed, I guess the nearly-perfect system of epistemic closure the GQP were building (starting in the 1980s, some of it goes back even earlier?) and people were pointing this out, and intellectually, we could see how harmful it was, but I think I’m even still processing it on a more visceral level of just how harmful that system is: hate radio, Fox “News”, OAN, Alex Jones, Regnery publishing, right wing think tanks, and so on.
And there is no real counter to it. People in that world can spend their entire lives, morning, noon and night, and never leave that bubble. Without serious curation of others, there is nothing like that for anything other than the hard right. I’m not saying I’d necessarily want that kind of orthodoxy to be the case for moderates or the left, it’s just so unbalanced right now…and that interlocking network is basically a Fifth Column destroying this country.

That’s just the overture. Like all those massive FDA/FTC fines one hears about, actually getting money you can see is an entirely different thing.
I imagine he is incorporated sixteen different ways and has very little in his own name as assets that cam be grabbed
Plus getting him to divulge those assets will take even more court battles as he is a master of the Trumpian “delay until they are dead” method of fighting litigation.
Yes but if you have an unpaid judgement against you it can still screw up your life in a lot of ways. For example, the court could put a lien on Lindell’s property (such as any real estate he owns).
