This is one reason why hockey is better:
“Rule 64.1 in the Official 2019-2020 NHL Rulebook state that “any player who blatantly dives or embellishes a fall or a reaction, or who feigns an injury shall be penalized with a minor penalty under this rule.” While open to an official’s personal interpretation, diving or embellishing is a minor penalty.

Cautions for unsporting behaviour

There are different circumstances when a player must be cautioned for unsporting behaviour including if a player:

• attempts to deceive the referee e.g. by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled (simulation)
