There are all those lovely scenes where Steve Trevor tells her that she and/or her warrior gear is “distracting” and she basically just rolls her eyes.
Have you seen what the women here have posted in the Gendered objectification thread? They must be VERY visual.
Yes I saw. That’s why I found it boring and didn’t read it, posting eye candy is bad taste no matter what gender. I admire the fact that women don’t usually indulge…for whatever reason. Actually, I think I’ve seen more on BBS posted by females than males, presumably the tempted among the latter knowing how crucified they’d be for doing so.
hahahahahahahahahaha
How am I gonna get around now that all these holes have been dug?
Some people just ain’t ‘happy’ unless they’re trying to piss all over somebody else.
Context. It’s important.
It was the second half I found most funny:
Actually, I think I’ve seen more on BBS posted by females than males, presumably the tempted among the latter knowing how crucified they’d be for doing so.
Crucified! Boy, we’re brutal bitches, aren’t we?
It struck me today that it would be very comforting to believe that your partner (in a het relationship) was simply uninterested or unable to look at and desire other people of the opposite sex in the same way that you do. Or how convienient it would be to able to rationalize your own behavior within commited relationships with “biology”. It’s not only reassuring in what is normally an emotionally vulnerable situation, it also prevents you from having to put yourself in the other person or gender’s shoes and empathise if you choose believe that cultural stereotype.
No wonder it persists.
Power Girl on the other hand…
aka the sign that comic book artists should date more or take refresher courses in human anatomy.
Those damn minority groups; always trampling all over the poor, beleaguered majority!
OH HELLO HAVE YOU HAVE SEEN THE HAWKEYE INITIATIVE!
Cuz ladies, its totally anatomically possible to have both your butt AND your boobs facing the viewer, totes.
Of course! I am glad you linked to it. What better way to punish badly done art than through creative ridicule.
Reminds me of an old classic:
