Whatcha Watchin’ (Season 3)

That’s the one I’m looking forward to.

I too watched it last night… YIKES!

They haven’t gone and done it again, have they?

I thought one of their stated goals for this season was to not write things that would then appear in the news…

I mean, I guess you could argue that the titanic submersible thing is sort of like this episode… but not really?

I haven’t seen it yet, but I guess I’ll find out!

Despite the generally dark tone of the show some Black Mirror episodes actually have satisfying, happy-ish conclusions. I liked the way that “Joan is Awful” ended. But “Beyond the Sea” was definitely not one of those episodes.

So far, I’ve enjoyed the whole season…

Wait, I’m lying, I have seen episode 3! (I missed the first one) and we’ll probably watch one tonight.

I thought that they had been watching High Life and Solaris but were fitting in with the horror movie vibe of the season. I’ve only seen episode 2 as well and that’s straight up horror.

Not a comprehensive list, I’m sure, but interesting nonetheless:

I wonder about the intention of this, what this means for the home release, and if they decided to have fun with a different version for theaters that (very appropriately) complained about the dialog volume issues of the files originally sent out to theaters.

Not surprising. The Animation Guild apparently has never been effective in making positive change for its people. Across the Spider-Verse is a masterpiece that happened at the expense of many overworked animators. Beyond the Spider-Verse will be no different, and it will somehow have to find ways to be worse if it wants to meet its release date.

As beautiful as these films are, they’re not worth the working conditions. I think we can wait a bit longer if it means treating animators reasonably.

it’s like clue, all over again

Any board game connoisseur knows that Clue the game can end with any of the seven characters as the murderer. Thus, Clue the movie depicts several somewhat infamous alternate endings. The theatrical run of the film saw each screening with a different alternate ending.

It’s about time we focus on the conditions of animated projects. Unfortunately this is only a focus on writers, but it’s an appropriate time for that. It’s surprising to learn that the studios get to decide which guild a specific project is under. Of course they’ll go with the one requiring the lower minimum…

I keep trying to get into Human Resources, because it’s a spinoff of Big Mouth, but it’s just not the same without the kids.

Tons of talent behind the voices though.

It’s really fun! Very dreamlike, kind of like Michel Gondry.

Idris Elba is back, though no Luther this time around.

People are citing lack of plausibility, which I can understand.

Mixed feelings about this. Mostly positive, though. Infinity Train was such a great series that slid under the radar. Perhaps in the care of Owen Dennis I might actually enjoy a show about Among Us.

I’m only half way but this show gets funnier every episode. Patricia Arquette is absolutely hilarious. Matt Dillon, Bernadette Peters and the rest of the cast are perfect. Most lolz I’ve had since Extraordinary

You know what, I got about 10 minutes in and noped out. It felt like it really wanted to be Poker Face so badly, even down to the titles and the ex-criminal detective lady.

But you love it. TV shows are like that :woman_shrugging:t3:
