I learned recently that my great great uncle claimed to be descended from Tecumseh and believed himself to be the “custodian” (yeah, I don’t know what that means either) of the curse. Evidence of this was that he thought FDR was doing a good job but later soured on him (hence not dying until the term after). The “custodian” role then passed on to my great uncle who had no children. So, according to my great, great uncle’s theory, my father is now the “custodian” of it.
When I found this out, I joked that if Trump wins in 2020 my dad will have some work to do. He declined, saying that he can honestly say he’s never killed anyone in his life, and he plans to go to his grave still being able to say that. Which is honorable and all, but still (it helps that this is all obviously absolute nonsense, including the part where my great, great uncle was descended from Tecumseh).

The “good genes” thing could only have come from a head full of eugenics, social darwinism and racism.

There is a great joke with a deep truth about race out of nowhere in the middle of this interview from the other night:
“You’re inbred.” Ultimately that’s the goal of all eugenics programs.
I’d like to note that Tracy Morgan did a very similar extremely funny joke about DNA testing in his post-recovery Netflix special.
