You could wrap a building with that shit. Virtually the same product is used to wrap pallets for shipping. We have piles of them at the beer warehouse. Apparently we buy the food service version as it’s cheaper than the identical rolls meant for shipping.
Who are these people who have room for non-food items in their freezers? I have to play frozen-pizza-Tetris every time I come home from the grocery store.
I keep a roll in my emergency go bag - a tip I got from people who were caught up in the 2011 tsunami in Japan and ended up sheltering for days until supplies could be flown or driven in.
Cling wrap can be used to hold bandaging in place, to add some water-proofing, to tie things, by twisting into rope. No running water? put a bit of cling over your dirty plate and use it again. Versatile and a good addition to the duct tape.
It’s incredibly useful stuff. Just not for left overs. Or food storage without other materials.
We used to send piles of the stuff to family in Iraq early in the war. Along with TP, deoderant, tampons/pads, tobacco, and liquor it was one of the most requested items.
