and a lot of survivors of violence are naturally going to be reluctant to go to the police, and may withdraw any accusations if they face pressure from the police.
It may when she implies that it is men she doesnât want to date.
âI got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men. Because I
donât want to date anymore⌠Most guys would think [the extra breast is]
weird and gross.â
As Iâve sad before and Iâll say again, anything that makes the real world closer to Transmetropolitan is a good thing, and this DEFINTELY makes the real world closer to Transmetropolitan.
Yes. There is.
Name one.
Because I canât see any way to interpret your statement as anything other than supporting rape culture [and creating a hostile environment on this forum].
Her body is her own.
Agreed, but she does seem to be attempting to (figuratively) sell it to us via reality TV.
Which does not justify saying that âher body is for [you].â It is her own. It is for her. The two of you have been making the same argument that gets used to justify sexual violence [and any violence, really] against sex workers.
I have simply stated that she is trying to figuratively sell herself to us. Iâm not saying sheâs trying to literally prostitute herself. She is trying to make money with her image. For her to successfully do so, she does have to, to a certain extent, let us have her image. We wouldnât own any copyrights, but her peculiarity would potentially become a part of our inner life. And if we accept it, it is, to a certain extent, ours. Metaphorically speaking.
âJaffa! Kree!â
Or six of them, lined up like a cat.
Wasnât that the Octomomâs strategy?
Get infamous, land in porn, fade away on the stage at the Clermont Lounge.
One might also say that youâre trivializing rape by associating someoneâs relatively harmless comment on an internet forum with rape (culture). Now, I personally wouldnât say that, but this type of argument strikes me as quickly spiraling out of control and beyond any form of utilitarian dialogue when people start throwing around such accusations. IMHO. I think there may be a more cogent way of making your point, than essentially saying that the poster is âin with the rapists.â

This is just going to be like razor blades. Sure, for years two was enough for anyone, then Gillette started telling everyone they needed three, and now what, you can get ones with six?[/quote]
âDo you unlock blade five by defeating a boss on blade four?â
OMG TRIGGER WARNING ALREADY
I must write the novel that uses this as a tagline.
Try reading Blueprints of the Afterlife, or pretty much anything by Rudy Rucker. Cyberpunk/Post-Cyberpunk of a totally over-the-top zany nature. Great stuff. And, as I mentioned earlier, read the graphic novel Transmetropolitan. Same vein, and wickedly rad.
