Not only is it a safety issue, but the airline is doing the other passengers a favour by placing the poop-brown, gilt-logo-encrusted aesthetic monstrosity out of their sight.

The flight attendant could have offered her a bag to put her handbag in

I highly doubt that an arsehole like this would have accepted the offer.

But where do you then keep the bag with the handbags in?

Tragically true, looks like the wall paper from a low-rent room in undergraduate days. But maybe it’s something as sad as Bag Envy

Louis Vuitton’s fabric prints make me feel like I’m in the nicotine-stained walls of a noir detective film. I really dig the trashy vibe. It would make good fodder for a new punk aesthetic.

It feels to me like the flight attendant accessed the sub-routine “How can I get this plane into the air with maximum speed and minimum fuss for all paying travellers,” and failed to find a solution though there would have been several easily available. Such as double wrap the handbag, or put it in the overhead, or take it to the crew quarters.

I’m sure everyone was more unhappy in the end than at the beginning.

If it was so important she should consider buying the bag its own seat on the plane. Assuming she is ever allowed to fly sgain that is.

I think there should be a rule for journalists to gauge when the censorship of a image destroys that image’s residual value.

Huh? It was the passenger who failed to find a reasonable alternative. Who travels with a LV bag and doesn’t know it has to be stowed?

As someone who has had flights delayed to the point where my connections were missed, I cheer this flight attendant for not letting this drama drag out that long.
