It’s not a crime to mention these things, because it being a crime would be to intimate that there is anything about those things which is different from any other character or date, and there is not. And if you ever intimate that there is by, say, mentioning them or hinting that they exist, (especially if you do so in order to refute the rumours which are false because of course they are, also: what rumours, there are no rumours, because nothing happened), then expect to have your social credit cut to zero and some stony-faced Party members visiting you in the night to tell you that you’re going to a re-education camp somewhere in the general region of Mongolia.
