Well, she’s dark haired and roughly symmetrical, I guess she IS the same woman.
Rumors are that Paddock had a partner.
You mean like their policy to censor nudity and terrorism? They aren’t some neutral arbiter and never have been.
Doesn’t he know that all the false flag operations were false flag?
It’s way easier to classify something as having nudity or terrorism. Making the case against fake news vs opinion piece vs entertainment vs satire … way harder and prone to be subject to the editor/enforcer opinion and personal bias.
So many of my conservative friends are “just asking questions” on everything from data science on climate change to why liberals get so personal when political issues come up. I just quietly remove them from my feed.
Was discussing this with a buddy at work. We agreed…there are at least 5,000 duplicate look-alikes on any college campus right now.
Now if all 3 of these young ladies had the same facial tattoo that Mike Tyson has…we’d give some credence to this theory. I mean, that would be one helluva coincidence.
Muslims want it to be a non-muslim for a brief letup in the unrelenting hate and blame they are faced with every day.
Plus the expectation that they apologise, explain, and condemn.
Or so they always tell me anyway. Maybe muslims I’ve never met want it to be white christians as it conforms to their beliefs on what terrorists look like. But most of the muslims I know think, as do I, that most of the terrorists committing most of the atrocities in the world wear official uniforms.
I don’t think that they look much alike at all, really.
That was kinda’ what I was getting at.
I get that. I am saying I do think they look alike from a vague standpoint. and by those vague standards there are a crap ton of similarly “Look alike” young women anywhere.
Which gets back to my original joke up top.
I assume that is the wrong link (Jeff Sessions on Transgendered legal issues)
I did see quotes from the sheriff on the issue of a partner:
“You’ve got to make the assumption he had to have some help at some point,” the sheriff replied.
“Maybe he’s a super guy, maybe he was working out all this on his own, but it would be hard for me to believe that.”
Also:
In a press conference on Wednesday, Clark County Sheriff Lombardo was asked if he saw evidence that Paddock had planned to escape after the attack.
The sheriff said “yes”. Asked what it was, he said: “I can’t tell you.”
Sounds like the Sheriff is trying his best to help with the conspiracy theories.
Las Vegas shooting: Paddock may have planned to escape
You are misreading what Rob said. This is not about your free speech being negated because of pressure applied to you. It is that a company that provides a platform will never guarantee your free speech because of pressures applied to them.
I’m a radical and I still grapple with that one! I can understand the motivation, but not how it isn’t ill-advised to succumb to it.
Talking to my stepdad and others like him have shown me that a not insignifigant part of the population in america believes:
White people are a minority
Christians are being persecuted
Liberals are ruining the world
THeir children are being indoctrinated to support the lgbt agenda
Do I need to continue.
I try talking but anything i say gets slammed apart any discrepancy picked apart and thrown in my face while any inconsistency on their part is brushed aside.
I’m tired. I’m sick and fucking tired of this. I’m tired of defending my right to have an opinion (oh you can have an opinion even though i am literally saying you are everything wrong with america… except if you bring yourself up you are making it all about YOU… narssicist shitbag) and to not constantly cringe when people open their mouths when i try un-glomming myself from the keyboard to try being even remotely productive.
I would love to fix it so that YouTube does not actively promote >anything<. It has a flipping search function - that’s all that’s needed! They could still run their shitty ads just like any other website regardless of the popularity of any of the things people post. It’s a great example of how the “more is better” economy of scale of industrial production is completely misapplied to hosting somebody’s free video.
When negativity is what gets the most views, then I get bombarded with crap, often completely contrary to what I am looking for. Like showing my kids some history and tips for spotting contemporary right-wing buzzwords on a channel with 10k subscribers, and their algorithm says “Hey! I see that you are into politics and media! Check this out!” - and offering me alt-right crap from channels with 500k subscribers. The shit floats right to the top, tainting my searches. Granted, I can select a video and remove it from recommendations with an explanation that I am not interested in that channel. But how many people who don’t know better are getting steered towards toxic information?
As for goofy JAQing off, I don’t find questions very harmful. Those videos would be covered by Betteridge’s law of headlines. “Is this the same girl at all three massacres?” No, it isn’t.
I am so happy I live in a blue state.
No. Not “just like”.
For the same reason as why the KKK is not “just like” BLM.
Context matters. Power matters. Right wing white people are not, and never have been, an oppressed group in America.
The sentiment of “I don’t want people like me blamed for this.” is the same. It is a rather human response. This doesn’t mean the groups are the same in every way, nor even the reactions against various groups equal.
One thing I’m waiting for is for existing laws to start being applied to the internet. We’ve already seen one person in Florida go to jail for sending death threats via email. The more interesting question is in regards to slander/libel or defamation of character. I remember seeing something about a survivor of the Orlando shooting suing a conspiracy site, but I don’t know if it was dropped/settled. If it’s a blog that claims to be a news source and you’re a private citizen, and they’re claiming that you are complicit in a major crime, well, you got a lawsuit cookin’.
