I’m a bit surprised that if this went on for so long, one of them didn’t just say… “Um, ok, that’s weird, but knock yourself out” all the while thinking, “I’ve got a backhoe, and a back 40. Pretty sure nobody’d ever find him, particularly if I bury some livestock on top of him”.
