I’m sure there will be some messes, Medicaid does manage to reach many people for a basic set of healthcare needs. It’s not ideal, but the system does have some success. I imagine vaccines could piggyback those systems in states that support them.

Most people know their name, and probably have ID of some kind. So, just because someone doesn’t have insurance doesn’t mean that they are untrakable. It could also be done with a photo at the time of the first dose. it’s also important to speak to people in their native language and not assume that English is the only standard.

There’s an article in wired today about not targeting the vulnerable, and instead figuring out who the super spreaders are and target those people first for the vaccine. These are the social butterflies and people who travel a lot. There’s some logic there, to target who is most likely to catch and spread the virus. There may be other counterintuitive aspects to effective mass vaccination.

If he really wants to start promoting reconciliation, he can start by pulling his money out of the Georgia Senate runoffs.

Did the guy suddenly realize the error of his ways after a visit from the Ghost of The-War-on-Christmas Future?

He won’t of course, because he still wants a free market society with little to no government services for the rest of us. He won’t get that with a democratic house, senate, and white house.

Far too late.

The Koch Brothers have a lot of answer for on so many fronts. Including…

In fact, the Koch brothers were involved in the first known gathering of climate change skeptics in 1991. Organized by the Cato Institute, the meeting shifted the position of the Republican Party on climate change. While George H. W. Bush had still supported research into global warming under the Global Change Research Act of 1990, acceptance of scientific evidence on climate change began to weaken due to the Koch family’s influence.[32]
