I’d argue that this is part of a longer process of deregulating the stock market. Prior to the Great Depression, volatility of the market and it’s growing impact on the real economy was the norm. The regulation put in place during the New Deal and later on helped stabilize the market’s effect on the real economy. Since Reagan, deregulation is starting to reveal that volatility and it’s negative impact on the real economy…

The fact of the matter is that Sweden has extremely strict self defense laws. Even if A$AP Rocky did indeed act in self defense, he and his friends beat a guy up. I guess Trump wants them to change their laws, but “President Donald Trump acting on behalf of Kanye West to send a hostage envoy to try to free A$AP Rocky from Swedish prison” sounds like the goofiest Cracked headline ever.
I find the defenses of A$AP Rocky really weird. Like, people are so used to the power of money and celebrity in the US that they don’t realize you shouldn’t beat people up when visiting foreign countries? Trump is calling on the Prime Minister of Sweden to intervene in a court case? Do Americans understand how rule of law works?
