I’ve sunk even lower. My first thought was “Fuck, they watched the debates and they really don’t think we’re gonna beat him…”

Very good start, but of course a majority of democrats is not the same thing as a majority of the house. Hopefully it will snowball soon.

I thought most people wanted them to start impeachment proceedings.

But now I’m gathering that most people think that’s a bad idea because it seems desperate?

I’m so confused as to what would make people happy.

I definitely think they should. I’m just confused and feeling cynical about their about face given that nothing’s really changed in the last couple weeks…

What I get from this is the press should never trust Trump or go easy on his picks for anything, because he doesn’t care how awful they are and the only ones who are going to bring that to light are the press. cool. cool. (insanity. every day. I swear)

Does he just… throw a dart before that (meaning before the media “vets” his candidate)?

Man. That is nuts. He literally said that, “you guys vet for me, and we save a lot of money that way”.

Really code for, “OK, I totally lost this one, massive failure, but I’m trying to spin it to look like a win”.

How much does a background check cost? How does that compare to spooling up the Senate confirmation process? I mean, go ahead and use a log scale, because otherwise, they won’t be visible on the same graph…

Trump, a few hours ago: “My candidate is being treated very unfairly by the LameStream media!! Slander and libel!”"

Trump, a few hours later: “I get a name, I give it out to the press and you vet for me,” Trump told reporters before departing the White House. “If you look at the vetting process for the White House, it is very good, but you are part of the vetting process. You vet for me. I like when you vet. I think the White House has a great vetting process. I give out a name to the press and you vet for me, we save a lot of money that way.”

So… he literally depends on the “lamestream” media for their “very good” vetting process that he “likes”. But he still bullies them for fun?

well, this is the same group of people who couldn’t find the light switches in the white house, and were too afraid to ask

they’ve never had a clue how any part of the government works. ( except maybe the irs )

What’s next? Charles Manson for Sec. of HUD?

That’d really troll the libs and fact checkers.

Not surprising. Trump fired his legally-required transition team right after he won.

I really hope someone kept all the briefing notes and government 101 stuff from Obama’s outgoing team, because Trump’s bunch won’t leave anything and will probably trash their offices.

oh don’t worry that won’t be a problem… cause they’re never going to leave :crying_cat_face:

we may have to re-open bush’s “western whitehouse” (ugh) just to give warren someplace to try to govern from

“Never” is a mighty long time, and continued bad decisions on the part of those who govern will come to a head, if not rectified.

awww. well, we’ll just build another whitehouse down the street, and take over fox news so that individual one can think he’s still in control ( not that he’s even been. )

heck, id even throw in the occasional rally so long as he wears an ankle monitor

we may need a new white house anyway, what with the water rising. really he’s doing us a favor ( said no one, ever )

Why did anyone need to plan anything before he actually became president?
[…]
The money that people donated to his campaign Trump considered, effectively, his own. He thought the planning and forethought pointless.

That’s Trump in a nutshell.

Seeing Bannon, Trump turned on him and screamed: Why are you letting him steal my fucking money? Bannon and Christie together set out to explain to Trump federal law. […] To which Trump replied: Fuck the law. I don’t give a fuck about the law. I want my fucking money.

Wow.

This article is enough for me to (almost) feel a twinge of sympathy for Christie. That’s pretty remarkable.

And of course because of all of Trump’s lack of planning, seat of his pants governing, and literal “fuck the law” attitude basically nothing is getting done and nothing’s getting accomplished in government other than the most terrible things that can be forced through by his band of R sycophants.

I’m sure that Trump is shoveling the money, and not just ass-kisser room-nights at his properties.
