šŸ–• šŸŠ šŸ¤” A Continuing Round-Up of Trumpian Events šŸ–• šŸŠ šŸ¤”

Heā€™s younger than Trump, Biden, Sanders and Warren.

If he runs as a Green heā€™ll have to get through the grueling gauntlet of hotly contested primaries they pretend to use to select their candidate.

Can we get a third option? Something like, ā€œPutin is sitting back, smoking a big cigar, drinking a double vodka from the skull of an endangered snow leopard, and chuckling to himself because it doesnā€™t matter at all if his calls with Trump are disclosed. He invested in chaos and his investment has paid off like a rigged slot machine.ā€

I want to post a few more Chris Collins facts before he pleads guilty in Manhattan today.

First off, one of the things that got him caught in the insider trading scandal involving Innate Immunotherapeutics is a ā€˜reply allā€™ email Collins sent.

https://www.cnn.com/2017/01/31/politics/chris-collins-tom-price-reply-all/index.html

Second, he attacked his democratic rival by intentionally mistranslating what he said in a campaign ad.

The first television ad is out in the 27th Congressional District Race, and incumbent Chris Collins immediately went negative, attacking his Democratic opponent, Nate McMurray, over jobs.

In the 30-second spot, Collins uses part of a video that McMurray, himself, posted online. McMurray speaks in Korean in the video, and he talks about the peace talks between North and South Korea.

A third party who is fluent in Korean translated the video for 2 On Your Side, and itā€™s exactly as McMurray had captioned it online. It had nothing to do with jobs, despite the Collins adā€™s insinuation.

In text on the campaign ad, Collins claims McMurray ā€œ(w)orked to send jobs to China & Koreaā€ and ā€œ(h)elped American companies hire foreign workers.ā€

Third, the local GOP board had no Plan B mechanism to replace crooked candidates on their ticket. They spent several days discussing at I kid you not, a racino (a horse track with limited slot machine options) in a small city in the heart of the 27th district how to remove Collins from the ticket. They could not find a way to keep him off.

Shocked/not shocked.

Stay tuned as the Democrats wring their hands and walk away in defeat muttering ā€œGee Beav, what are we going to do? How are we gonna play ball if those guys wonā€™t ever give us a chance at bat?ā€

They desperately need Eddie Haskellā€™s cousin on their side - the one who got sent up for manslaughter money laundering, and that attempted coup in the Netherlands.

That guy doesnā€™t exist? Well, shit.

Somebodyā€™s been attempting to or tampering with trumpā€™s taxes at the IRSā€¦

ā€œOn July 29, 2019, the Committee received an unsolicited communication from a Federal employee setting forth credible allegations of ā€˜evidence of possible misconductā€™-specifically, potential ā€˜inappropriate efforts to influenceā€™ the mandatory audit program,ā€ Neal wrote in his letter to Mnuchin dated August 8. ā€œThis is a grave charge that appreciably heightens the Committeeā€™s concerns about the absence of appropriate safeguards as part of the mandatory audit program and whether statutory codification of such program or other remedial, legislative measures are warranted.ā€

Hmmmmm ā€¦ I wonder who that could beā€¦

Me: *reading that article*

Article:

To ensure that developing countries are not disadvantaged by unaffordable postal rates, wealthier countries pay more. This is known as the ā€˜terminal duesā€™ system.

Me: Ah, I believe I have identified the ā€œissueā€. *continues reading*

Article:

Itā€™s a business worth billions of dollars, and it has infuriated President Trump, who already thinks China has an unfair advantage and is therefore pursuing all sorts of trade disputes with Beijing.

Iā€™m really, really, really tired of being right.

Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. Thatā€™s not allowed either, they told him.

In other news, Trump clearly considers the Hunger Games to be aspirational.

in some respect, heā€™s right* even if for the wrong reasons.

the usps subsidizes amazon ( because reasons ) and they subsidize china ( because itā€™s considered a developing nation ) ā€“ it means it can be cheaper to buy and ship something from china through amazon then to buy from an independent retailer in the us.

itā€™s definitely not the way things should work.

( *noting that leaving the UPU would be disastrously expensive for people living in the us and is a typically terrible trumpian ā€œsolutionā€. )
