A sound fiscal policy, indeed.

Who’s ready to hear the stories about him at a mall creeping on highschoolers for another year?

Doug Jones is dancing a jig about now.

Really? Because of Kavanaugh?

I mean, maybe, but Moore would have to face the electorate, who are far less mindless and degraded than the people who got to vote for Kavanaugh.

At least we’re not hearing anything about Trump’s fucking border wall these days. That’s gotta be a sign that he’s got his hands full with all this other self-imposed crap raining down on him.

Because it’s moving forward without much resistance…

In fact that’s the idea that even some governors who are Democrats want to do. The whole PPP thing which makes no sense especially with infrastructure. It’s just a way for corporations to get tax revenue as their own rather than even pretending to facilitate a service or good.

The feckless Dems should be grilling his ass every day on why Mexico isn’t paying for it.

That’s one thing Dems should learn from Repubs – never, ever let an attack fade away. (Though maybe legitimate ones only.)

100% serious! I genuinely think that more 50% of people understand that “I’m not sure whether they raped someone or not” is not a compelling argument that someone is entitled to a seat on the goddamned Supreme Court.

I would sure hope so, but the same electorate sent him to the AL Supreme Court, twice (the second time after he’d been fired) and nominated him for the Senate race. He was already an asshole before the sexual assaults came to light. Hence my comment.

In other words: I don’t like being this cynical, but I do not place a lot of faith in the voters* of Alabama

*i.e. willing, able and/or not prevented from voting

I didn’t say I had much faith in the voters of Alabama. I said I had more faith in the voters of Alabama than I do in the US Senate.

However low you think my expectations are they are lower.

ETA: I genuinely think that after all that stuff the Republican senators said about Roy Moore and how they threatened to unseat him if he won, were the US senate somehow responsible for picking between Moore and Jones for any appointment or position, it would be a party lines vote (except Murkowski) and Moore would win.

Who would move a family there for work?
Space, defense, and other biz are prob gong to see fewer relocations to work there. I sure AF wouldn’t take my family there.
