notice all the people testifying against him are doing it Under oath, which is legally binding… where all his supporters are doing it on TV, the internet etc where there is no legal obligation to be honest… or, if forced to testify, they dodge and claim privilege to refuse answering questions at all. it’s all so clear and obvious.
They have, in fact, made it quite clear that they will not deal honestly with the media:
Well, he’s only stating a fact there, right? Or is he lying again??
Trump and his pack of bastards has been doing so much damage to our general sense of trust, not only in necessary bedrock institutions, but also between individuals.
Secretly?
This is dense read, and pretty damned terrifying. Basic takeaway is that the worst is yet to come.
Trump does not have the guts to testify.
He won’t sit down for an 11 hour grilling like what Hillary went through. I’ll doubt he would sit down for a 11 minute q&a session too.
That 11 hour Clinton grilling was probably the one thing that made me like Clinton for president. I’m never going to like neo-liberal politics, but wow did Clinton have the temperament and (dare I say it) stamina to do the job. You just can’t imagine something throwing them off track.
Likely not, but then, he does love being the center of attention, and inserting himself wherever he can so he can become that (e.g., the tweet during Marie Yovanovitch’s impeachment testimony).
Who knows, his bumbling “Look at me!!” reflex just might be the petard that hoists him.
All I’m saying is that if Trump doesn’t testify it’s because Trump is a weak coward and testifying is the only way Trump can show us how perfectly Trump can testify.
And, naturally, you can be assured that I am saying that in all honesty, and that I am not cynically trying to seed that idea out into the public it precipitates Trump’s testimony.
NPR is reporting that Trump is giving serious consideration to testifying in writing, which means that 90% of the testimony will be closely–lawyered verbiage that has never been within a country mile of his pie hole.
So much this! We all want to see his testimony, because his testimony will be the best! Bigly, believe him!
This ought to go well…
Who needs laws amirite?
International Law:
The US shifts its position on Israeli settlements, no longer viewing them as inconsistent with international law.

I genuinely worry what the quid pro quo is here. Hard-line Israeli election interference, now?
