The NYT is playing the role of the chief Trumpist propaganda organ to the Liberals. Its stories are targeted towards centre-right Liberal sensibilities, but with a Trump-useful slant.

The president’s tweet was based on a Judicial Watch tweet which was based on a random right-wing article that flat out lied.
Comey’s letter saying he wasn’t going to press charges was in MAY 2016 and he announced it publically in JUNE 2016. The conservatives claim it was before a number of people important to the investigation were interviewed, but they leave off that it was Clinton’s third interview in two years about the topic and the others had also been interviewed before.
I fact, the same guy as Justice Watch also tweeted that Clinton’s publically released interview documents from the FBI (through a Justice Watch FOIA no less) proved she was guilty because Clinton identified a piece of confidential information that she (correctly) knew wasn’t on the servers when the FBI interviewed her.
