They are raising “awareness”
Maybe they’re funded by Big Oil to make protesters look bad. If so, it’s working. Good job, Big Oil!
So do something that directly effects Shell, not this painting and glitter crap.
Yet again… Shell doesn’t give a toss.
No matter what you do Shell et al. will carry on doing their thing as long as there is money in it.
To achieve anything you have to get people,. i.e. you, me, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Putin, Biden, Xi, Uncle Tom Cobbley and all to change and in turn make Shell, et al. change because there is no money in doing the bad things.
How do you do that? I don’t know. I suspect it’s not possible but then I’m less optimistic than Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion, etc.
They seem to think that getting rich and “important” people to realise that this affects them might help.
So one of the things they do is disrupt events that rich and important people go to and/or like to tell themselves are important to them, like “Art” and posh sport like Wimbledon.
This of course does not preclude doing other things.
A protest group can do more than one thing. If you’ve got ideas, they’d love to hear them.
You have missed @VeronicaConnor 's point – take every opportunity.
Even the bad publicity is only generated because Greta Thunberg participated otherwise a few protesters at a Swedish port wouldn’t make the UK news.
