That really is disordered behavior. That is several steps beyond cynical.
And I know from cynical, as I’m still struggling to vote for the Republican (Hillary) to make sure the Fascist (rump) gets defeated.

I hope so, honestly. With the health crap and the birther thing, he’s trying to change the entire dialogue of this election, and it’s working, which scares me. Where the Flint thing is concerned, he’s got an entire church of witnesses to refute his BS claims. “That church full of black people is lying!” isn’t something that will play well, so I hope he keeps whining about it a bit longer.
It’s less that and more that he used it as a means of making the people of Flint look bad. They invited him there to talk about their situation, not to hear a stump speech. And she actually shut down the congregation when they started to ask him about housing in NYC. She was totally focused on the issue at hand and he (and some of the audience) were not. This is part of a what a politician does at times - listens to the public. Service is part of the job…Obviously, this adds another “not fit for the office” check…
And NPR. I heard the story when they aired it yesterday and they called BS on it, as they had a reporter there (as they’ve been covering this for a while now).
Of course, his supporters will just say that it’s liberal bias again and anti-white sentiment by a black church…[quote=“nungesser, post:105, topic:85401”]

Yep. Clinton not telling people she had pneumonia as soon as she was diagnosed didn’t help.
I don’t think it matters. How many is it now?
I am increasingly getting depressing deja vu Brexit vibes from this election. He’s going to win, no matter how horrid and stupid that would be.
Speaking of Brexit, here’s Farage congratulating his replacement as UKIP leader.
As everyone is posting their pneumonia experiences, count me in. I was six and it coincided with Christmas break, which sucked.
My husband almost always gets bronchitis after every bad cold (I suspect growing up with a mom who smoked has something to do with that), and he’s very healthy otherwise. Sometimes secondary infections happen.
Yes, that’s the dialogue the media is pushing, sure enough.
But it’s not like Clinton’s team doesn’t know that. They are well aware of the way the media works and it flummoxes me that they haven’t employed strategies to deal with that in a realistic manner.
Absolutely. Thinking back to how expertly Obama’s team used social media and public imagery in revolutionary ways, I’m baffled and frustrated with how poorly her public image is being managed. This should be a shoo-in. But they’ve somehow managed to make her look like a doddering, grumpy, frail grandma who’s just shaking her head sadly at Trump’s driving trollies.
This was me, a few years ago. I’d have about a 50-50 chance of getting bronchitis after catching a cold, and it made me feel miserable. But with rest and antibiotics, I got over it. (I don’t know if it’s related, but since I started getting the flu shot fairly regularly, I’m not getting sick as often and no bronchitis yet.)
Admit it! Your kid was running to be the first female president of the US.
His arms are completely around her, with his fingers interlaced. Close friends don’t do that, let alone BRITISH politicians. Talk about controlling.
Yes, it’s probably related. You’re not getting as sick in general, so your immune system isn’t overloaded.
