That trigger a genuine chortle from me. Thank you for some Monday morning mirth.
AND NOW WE CLIMB!
CLIMB!
He doesn’t have to climb. He simply glares at the summit and it meekly comes to him.
I can’t recommend the BBC I, Claudius enough. Splendid all round.
I think my parents thought it was “Classical” and would help my study of Latin.
The image of John Hurt drooling some of his sister’s unborn baby remains with me still.
Inspired me to read Graves, turns out they toned it down.
I forced my 3 teenagers to watch Flash Gordon a few years back. They have all asked to watch it again at least once each and routinely will blurt out “FLASH! AHHHAAAAAHHHH”
This is what really matters, yes?
He is certainly larger than life in many aspects; large voice, big mouth …
I had a young’un say last week that they had been unable to get into it because it seemed dated. Apparently, they had almost no budget, and I suppose that’s why virtually all scenes are interior, with little moving around; a lot of sitting and talking, so they focused on dialogue and character development. What concepts!
Tiberius speaking about his mother, Livia; “They say a snake bit her once, and it died”.
What a loving family.
In case anyone has trouble waking up in the morning, there’s the Brian Blessed Alarm Clock…
Anther great marketing idea… I think they actually did this for TomTom…
Dispatch War Rocket Ajax to bring back their bodies!
But, of course.
He is blessed.
Brilliant!
BLESSED’S ALIVE!
(For those who ahem thought otherwise…)
A Blessed awakening?
I was waiting for that!
He really is one of Britain’s finest overactors.
Quite simply, the greatest story ever told.
For me, UK overactors (rather than American actors) tend to be much easier to take.
“Have you slept with my daughter?”
“Well slept really wasn’t the right term for it.”
