What’s wrong with appropriation of anything by anybody? Isn’t culture (and even science/engineering, with maybe even more examples) SUPPOSED to be a free-for-all for reuse/remix/recontextualize? Isn’t it being done since the very beginning of the culture/arts itself? Why should some cultural niches be walled up and protected and have some Special Snowflake Status?
