What about an elbow drop, or the evergreen “I’m sorry, was that your hand I was stepping on? Just give me a second to finish my pirouette”
Well, let’s be clear, ethics complaints against the police never “go anywhere.” I suppose it is small comfort that this “policy” was at least equally applied in this case. Usually it’s definitely not.
Of course they do. It’s small, round and lined with a plastic bag, but it is certainly somewhere.

The metaphor isn’t supposed to be “we are murdering fascists as they murdered others.” It’s “fascists are human shit and shit needs to be flushed down the toilet.”
Do you mean the Anti-Defamation League, or is this something else?
Then there’s a semi-famous quote “for the soft parts use your hand, for the hard parts use a utensil.” The utensil in question was a 2 foot long wrench.
No. The JDL was something very different, basically vigilantes or thugs.
I was just thinking the rise in very public antisemitism lately would have been met with force from the JDL years ago. These guys wouldn’t be so public if they knew they could face a violent comeuppance.
Where is the Hebrew Hammer, anyway?
They are usually considered to be far-right terrorists themselves
Okay, that is fair. I tend to be merciless toward fascists, and I ought to be less like them.
Maybe not… but this is:
In a fundamental sense can you think of any right that doesn’t operate that way? Look at the enumerated rights of the US constitution, sure you have a right to a speedy trial, if you have the money to enforce it. You have the right to free speech until it makes a cop mad. Rights exist only as far as the populace cares to defend them against those who would curtail them and I don’t feel much need to put much energy into assisting the people who would strip even the thin veneer of protections we have and murder my family.
They basically are. They are nuts. It was always very small, now it’s not really active anymore, due to the mostly violent deaths of its leadership. They are intellectually aligned with the Kahanist movement, which is illegal in Israel, but has support / followers.
Under his leadership, the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power), a party which espouses Kahanism and anti-Arabism, won six seats in the 2022 Israeli legislative election, and is represented in what has been called the most right-wing and hardline government in Israel’s history.
