Anyone watching the US Presidential debate tonight?

I think I can handle reading it better than I could watching it.

I hate the sound of his voice, unironically.

Can someone translate that mess into something comprehensible?

Unpossible, thereā€™s no there there.

Watching that thing was painful. His voice is grating, though itā€™s watching him be so obnoxiously conceited while heā€™s lying, displaying complete ignorance, and dropping incoherence bombs that makes it most painful.

I thought most boys wouldnā€™t get into that kind of thing until they were around 12.

Why arenā€™t all yā€™all giving the Drumpf credit for the most obvious ā€œimprovedā€ aspect of his performance? His handlers somehow kept him away from the Cheeto dust.

I donā€™t think his lies are nuanced enough to take much time to disentangle. :yum:

But the sheer speed and quantity of lies! Itā€™s like fighting a DDoS attack.

Geez, I thought it was bad that Melania was plagiarizing Michelle Obama, but now it turns out Trump is plagiarizing Gertrude Stein.

My wife noticed that right away. She was heretofore unfamiliar with the cause of the Jersey Shore fake-n-bake spray-tan look and couldnā€™t figure out why he was always so damned orange before.

ā€œCybersecurity is a very tough problem to tackle, but the younger generations are up to the challengeā€

Thatā€™s a very rough translation on my part, and I still donā€™t see where heā€™s going with that. Should the US invest more money in cybersecurity training? What about cyber warfare, including attacks?

When they did use that word, it meant something totally different.

Watching the debates, I felt like I was living in an alt-universe where The Onion was a legitimate source of news.

That feeling hasnā€™t worn off yet.

As far as excuses go ā€œa lot of people were sued for racist housing discrimination!ā€ was pretty weak, but my favorite part was when he claimed he couldnā€™t be a racist because Jews and blacks were allowed into the country club he opened in 1997.

Yes. I am surprised that one hasnā€™t received more attention. Out of all his statements, that is the one where I came closest to doing a full spit-take.
