Correlation does not imply causation, but I suspect that the graph of transfer of assets to the already rich has a pretty high correlation to the rise of the automobile, world wide.
I suspect there’s a whole other compilation’s worth of supercar drivers leaving the scene of the accident. Unless they went to the Benjamin Golden school of transportation, in which case they probably stick around to sue their victims and the people who got it on video.

I knew someone with a converted fire engine they’d made into an RV (basically, they put a bedroom in the water tank. Guy was the size of a hobbit, so no headroom problem for him, at least). Unladen, they are startlingly quick for a big red truck.
