Wisconsin Man should listen to [Jupiter,] Florida Man.
hopefully the bar just has the
telephone sanitisers, account executives, hairdressers, tired TV producers, insurance salesmen, personnel officers, security guards, public relations executives, and management consultants
In this new world, the telephone sanitizer is king.
Yep. Nothing about regulations on the alcohol trade in the U.S. (or even Canada) makes sense except in the light of Prohibition having been A Thing.
So, uh… I’m a bit confused here. I thought that the main reason people were protesting the stay-at-home order was because they said they needed to work because they had no money. If that’s the case, how can they afford to be out at a bar?
I’m starting to think that most of those protesters are just full of crap.
That wasn’t the main reason I kept hearing, which was more along the lines of “They’re stealing our freedoms!”
Oh I saw mention of plandemic but hadn’t the energy to look further. I think the name says it all.
Definitely not the Wisconsin I knew and loved. Please tell me Madison is still the same.
Reading the article, I’m actually surprised he didn’t formulate a new belief, that he had been intentionally infected as payback for his earlier conspiracy ravings.
…unless you also close the state borders.
I’m feeling quite grateful for the existence of Bass Strait at the moment.
Somebody had a similar idea:
Unfortunately, I don’t think it comes off as well-- blood effects are inherently more comedic than electrical burns.
Don’t worry, the state supreme court is still social distancing,
And come election day, they’ll be the ones with immunity
So am I
Yep, growing up in Pennsylvania we had state-run liquor stores, AND drive-thru beer sales.
Imagine how terrible it would be if large numbers of conservatives, in swing states, voluntarily rendered themselves unable to vote:
At least the city of Madison maintains sanity. We still have Safer at Home orders in place. Restaurants and bars in the city (perhaps in Dane county?) are still forbidden from opening except for carry-out.
I get the spiteful feeling, but it is likely that given the low mortality (for this point not compared to some baseline) and high spread (same caveat) of this disease, it is likely that more people who didn’t go out will die from these assholes than will die because they themselves went out. That’s on top of the fact that the workers didn’t have a lot of choice in the matter.
God, what mortals these fools be!
