You can ignore the fact that transcendence and compromise are ugly myths that perpetuate inequality, and that when the concept of transcendence meets the reality of hard-nosed Republican opposition, it immediately decays into craven compromise that drags us further and further to the right. You can ignore the fact that Beto has already demonstrated this Obama-esque tendency to capitulate even while operating in the safest possible blue district. And you can ignore, above all, the obvious, unsettling conclusion: If we elect this man, we are screwed.

Will fully admit I know nothing about Beto O’Rourke except this. Don’t know if the community here likes him or hates him. Never bothered to research him.
I admit my ignorance except here I have to say without knowing anything else about him and knowing he ran against Ted Cruz who I know is a piece of shit, and not ever hearing about Cult of the dead cow before somehow as a former counterculturist he now ranks on my radar as chill.

I know very little of him and im in Texas. I just know that he was a better choice than Ted Cruz, but as a presidential hopeful I am really unsure of him. Will have to see more of him and other potential candidates as time goes on.
Definitely not a very high bar to surpass.
