Biden elected president

In VA we passed a constitutional amendment taking redistricting away from the legislature to a nonpartisan committee. The Dems actually opposed it because “hey we’re in power now” but I think it is for the best. We need to get better about vote by mail, but I guess I’ll take this for now.

Michigan amendment does the same thing. Minority rule in Lansing is supposed to end this year, but of course the a-holes who will lose power refuse to fund it. Be watchful for this kind of fuckery.

We’ve been watching Columbo on and off for the last several months for almost that exact reason.

Leverage is also a great series to binge if you’re trying to fulfill that urge to see rich assholes get their comeuppance.

Y’all is the English language’s only second person plural. It’s an evolution of the language, as all languages legitimately evolve.
Hating on it is a form of elitism and feeds into class warfare as well.

Additionally, New Balance is the only brand that has arch support.
As another poster commented, some people buy thrift and can’t pass up on certain brands. More class warfare. Get your classism out of here. Focus on racism and stop looking at superficial identity coding.

You caused me to stop and think. I was getting annoyed yesterday out of fear of it slipping away. Flashbacks to 2000. But you’re right because Biden has leads in several states, which would be very hard to overturn with them all over the map. The only leverage Trump has right now would be to game a few recounts or somehow manage to throw out large blocks of votes. So far, the states have thwarted his every attempt. And tossing out tens of thousands of your opponent’s votes is not a very good look. No low is too low for Trump, but I don’t think anyone would go along with that.

It’s curtains for Trump. Let’s milk it and make him squirm! I hope he just completely loses his shit this weekend.

That looks like a still from a Nic Cage horror movie. Those expressions!

Race finally called by the major networks. Gigantic sigh of utter relief.

You know they’re rebooting it, right?

Also, in regards to the latest news on the actual topic;

Nixon’s pardon was part of a deal to get him out of office. Also, Ford and the AG were still Republicans. When Carter took office, the nation had moved on and he had a LOT on his plate.

Now, a lot depends upon who Biden picks for AG. Will it be someone who will aggressively go after the corruption of the outgoing administration, or will it be someone who takes a more conciliatory approach? I hope for the former, but it remains to be seen.

Either way, and just like the push for social justice, we need to keep the pressure on the Biden administration to keep making progress, not just wind back the clock to 2015.

Technically, 270 electors still have to vote for him at the Electoral College. It’s a long shot, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the president-unelect tried to subvert that process, too.

Let’s say he was only 10 electors behind. Do you think the criminal leadership of the GOP isn’t already busy looking for leverage on probable electors? Everyone has a price, after all. Would you sell out your country and your electoral vote for $30 million and a retirement mansion in Belize? How many of your grandchildren’s fingers would you have to receive in the mail to convince yourself to accept the deal?

She’s also the first graduate of an HBCU to go to the white house! I wonder if when she was at Howard, she imagined she’d be the Vice President someday?
