He wouldn’t have to siphon off many percentage points from DeSantis to guarantee an overwhelming Democratic win. And it could play absolute havoc at the downballot elections, too.

Anyway – unless AOC is an idiot who cares more about her personal ambition and getting attention, she won’t be running in 2024. And there’s no sign of her being an idiot, quite the opposite. She’s a fairly fresh Representative, and while she’s obviously smart, charismatic and knows how to play the social media like a fiddle, AOC doesn’t have anywhere near the experience, the connections, or the national recognition to be a serious candidate, and I’m absolutely sure she knows this.

I mean, Trump became president with at least two of these qualifications and did an absolutely shitty job of it.

This. I don’t see Trumpkins just rolling over to Deathsantis. They were never on board with 45 for policy or track record. It was always a cult of personality. They believed in him because he said the rude things that ran through their heads, but out loud. RonRon doesn’t have that skill. Performative cruelty alone isn’t going to cut it.
